We were able to meet the host early in the morning going down for breakfast. Surprisingly, she was also the chef cooking a special homemade pancakes for us! As Mulawarman Guesthouse is a family run business (I guess), the small scale brought us and the guests there together. We chit-chatted during breakfast time, sharing our travelling experience around Bali or even other places. Though we only stayed there for one night, we could feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere there.

See how the road to the guesthouse looked? This is the only downside of staying there- hard for the suitcases to run on the road.

There was a traditional dancing competition and it looked fun seeing kids dancing in such a professional standard. They must have been trained since they could walk!

All of a sudden, I didn't feel quite well and would like to look for a clean toilet. Of course not the public one. So Lawrence got a drink nearby (Rp15000) and at the same time I could fix my sickness.

Ubud Pasar was a good place to buy souvenirs and bargain but can be overwhelming seeing the same products repeatedly.

We were targeting at elephants woodcrafts and asked for the price of them in every shop. Usually the seller lowered the price automatically when we left. Read about how people deal at 1/3 of the starting price and roughly knew about what deal we could have, we tried to bargain with the seller in one of the shops. Initially the price of 1 was Rp500000, at last we got a superb offer with Rp300000 for 2! How exciting it was! And so far the cheapest price we saw was Rp250000 for 1 if you don't wanna bargain at all.

Lunch at Nomad then having Indonesian food (Rp179400). Tasted normal but it was very convenient locating in the main street. We were both too lazy to look for other restaurants.

Seeing massive numbers of the Polo shops in Ubud (That's real! You can see one in every 100 metres!), we were so curious about why it can open even more shops then convenient stores. We went inside one of those and the price was very appealing. Buy one get one free for only Rp889000! It was only around HKD260/ one! Lawrence helped his friend bought 2 and he bought one for himself and another for my dad. Altogether 4 at last.

Headed back to our guesthouse, picked our baggage and took a taxi (Rp80000) to Cocoa Ubud Private Villa (HKD907).

Cocoa Ubud Private Villa is away from Ubud town centre. I had been searching for restaurants online for a long time and the only one we could reach by walking was Yanies Restaurant Fusion, Sushi & Grill Bali. Though it was a bit expensive, we still had dinner there coz we didn't want to take a taxi out to look for food. Later, we got a free transfer from our villa, but it was only one way and still we had to walk back after dinner.

We were one of the only guests having dinner there. Another couple was from Japan and they were about to leave after we ordered the food. So we became the only couple there at last. Anyway, we felt hesitate ordering sushi and sashimi as we were both wondering the freshness of them due to the number of guests. Fortunately, the food there was quite good, at least we didn't feel over-priced with that quality (Rp481000).
