MYR18 only! |
We took free bus called CAT for whole day. It runs all the way round the city. Here comes the Kaptain Keling Mosque (stop 15). Big and nice but not much to see. Only spent hallf an hour there.
Then we walked to the Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi, a temple built by Chinese 650 years ago. Like the design and details in the temple. Just like those in old China shown on TV. Interesting! MYR5 for entrance fee.
Hang around the city.
Refreshment in an Indian restaurant nearby (MYR18) |
Took CAT again and got off at stop 6.
St Geroge Church |
Penang Museum. RM1 for entrance fee |
Cathedral of the Assumption |
Fried noodles for tea (MYR8) |
soup noodles with beef and famous drink in Malaysia (MYR18) |
Finally, we got to Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion. MYR12 for entrance fee with tour only as you can't visit it on your own. There was a tour at 3pm talking about a rich Chinese man building the house here. What a beautiful blue house!
Afterwards, we toured around the city again, and had a light dinner before visiting Chew Jetty (stop 2).
City Hall |
WWI Memorial |

Enjoyed the sunset at Chew Jetty.
Dinner at food court near Chew Jetty. The shells were not nice at all and we almost left the whole dish there...
