Woke up late and just got 30 more minutes for breakfast. The breakfast was way better than what we expected. I especially like the pancake and those pastries.
A travel blog about a Hong Kong girl being obsessive travelling around the world in budget yet mentally luxurious. From low fares flight tickets, cheap accommodation and eating in budget yet can still survive. Gonna see the world and record what I encountered.

Wander around in Huizhou Day 1
28/6/2014
Too much workload for me in busy June and really needed a break. Bought a voucher from Travelzoo for Crowne Plaza package with breakfast and buffet dinner included for 2 (HK$999 only), and most importantly, we were upgraded to Superior Suite, which cost around HK$1,300. Had a feeling that got more then we paid already!

Itinerary of today:
Itinerary of today:
Yunwu Villag
Green Green Grasslands
Old England
Visitors Centre
Dinner @陶易燒
香草舖子
Carton's King
Planned to go to the Green Green Grasslands early in the morning, watching the 9:30a.m. sheep shearing show and left some more time sightseeing. It was utterly out of our plan as we gotta take turn using the bathroom in the morning and it took quite a long time. So we decided to slowly enjoy our breakfast in the hotel instead. Breakfast in Yunwu Villag was obviously not my cup of tea... (as if I was having breakfast in a village in China... everything was cold and sometimes flies were surrounding the food corner...) It was kinda stomach turning...
Anyway, the beds in our room were comfy, The view from there was breathtaking. All these overrode the bad perception brought by the breakfast. And still, we had a great mood heading to Green Green Grasslands and pet the sheep, in which I had been looking forward to in the entire trip.

It was quite interesting having breakfast in a motel. The staff would arrange it by asking the time for the breakfast. Then, they would simply drop it on the tray outside your room. So we just needa take it inside and have it in our room. Maybe they wanna leave some space for one more room instead of having a canteen.

Beautiful Taichung Day 1
23/7/2013
It was my first time travelling with my dear's family. As the old saying goes, it's easy to socialize but much harder to live together, I got kinda nervous about getting along with his parents for a few days. (Even though they seem to like me very much) I was feeling lucky to turn out everything fine during the trip.
Flight schedule: (HKD2099/ person)
1215- 1355 KA490 (Hong Kong to Taichung)
1450- 1620 KA491 (Taichung to Hong Kong)
Itinerary of today:
Car rental @Car-plus
Lunch @street market
Tea @Miyahara
Taichung Station
Sasha Motel
Tiger City
Dinner @motel
We arrived at the airport 2 hours in advance as usual. I kept reminding myself with DBS AE credit card, I could get a complimentary copy of a magazine/ newspaper from Page One for free as I always forget to do so! Immediately got my favourite travel magazine after I checked all my baggage at the counter.

25/8/2013- 26/8/2013
0320 EK139 Dubai to Hong Kong
Itinerary of today:
Breakfast @apartment
Place de la Bastille
Marche Bastille
Roissy bus @Opera
Paris
Dubai
Hong Kong
Did some online reserch and found that Marche Bastille opens on Thursday & Sunday only from 7a.m. to 2:30p.m. Even we slept at around 1a.m. after a serious wash up, (really hard to remove all those make-up and hair spray...) we still insisted to wake up early for Marche Bastille.
Planned to have breakfast in Marche Bastille, but seeing those leftover in our fridge, we made up our mind to cook them all instead. It was a rainy and chilly morning. We decided to walk all the way to Bastille from our apartment (20 minutes walk) but we found that we had made a wrong decision. Even we could take a look at all those interesting shops on the way, we couldn't stand with the cold weather. (I didn't even wear my jacket! Stupid me!) We saw a Starbucks and immediately got inside and bought a pastry and a cup of hot Mocha. (EUR6.5) Then we got pretty much warmer and continued with our long journey.

Hong Kong 1 day trip - Shing Mun Country Park
8/2/2014
Had great fun hiking with my friends at weekend. We tried the Shing Mun Country Park, which is one of the most famous monkeys mountaina in Hong Kong.
From Tsuen Wan MTR Station, Exit C, we took 15 minutes walk to Shui Wo Street taking minibus 82 and alighted at its terminal below Shing Mun Reservoir. The Pineapple Dam was just right there. It is a smaller dam of the Shing Mun Reservoir, noticeable by its country park sign that looks like an ancient city gate. Its name comes from the pineapples that many Hakka villagers grew here when they settled in the area.

Itinerary of today:
Breakfast @apartment
Sacre- Coeur Montmartre
St- Pierre de Montmartre
Les jetaime
Place des Abbesses
Le Moulin Rouge
Tea @Café des 2 Moulins
Supermarket Franprix
Dinner @apartment
It was the most relaxing day of our trip as we were gonna have our pre-wedding photo shoot the next day. Didn't want to get too tired before that. Slept in and slowly we made our own breakfast and sandwiches to eat on the go.
We took the metro to Chateau Rouge (2 tickets) and made our way to Sacre- Coeur. It was a bit far though, but still there were quite a lot to see on the way. Have heard stories of pick-pocketing and everyone reminded me to mind the gypsies and the blacks. We really saw lots of those from the metro station and we started to get panic. Maybe it's a bit weird with Chinese people like us heading there on our own, many of them seemed to have curiosities from their eyes. We broke into a trot and rushed all the way until we thought we were safe.

Hong Kong 1 day trip - Discovery Bay
28/1/2013
Wanna go to Discovery Bay for long but had no excuse to visit there as it was quite far away. It came to my boyfriend's last single birthday in January. With me having a half day work, I decided to just having a nice dinner there by the seaside, where we could watch the fireworks of Disneyland from there together.
There are 2 ways to get to Discovery Bay, either by bus or ferry as taxi and cars are not allowed to get into the area. Finally, we chose taking bus from Sunny Bay to Discovery Bay. (HKD10/ person) The bus terminal is just right next to the Sunny Bay train station.

21/8/2013
Itinerary of today:
breakfast @train
Chateau de Versailles
Port Alexandre III
Musee de l'Armee Invalides
Rue Cler
picnic@ Champ- de- Mars
Eiffel Tower
Arc de Triomphe
Avenue des Champs- Elysees
dinner @apartment
Woke up at 8a.m. and we were not able to cook our own breakfast. Gotta take a long trip to Chateau de Versailles, so just bought a sandwich and a big cup of yogurt (EUR12) and had them on the train.
From Rambuteau, we needa take the metro to Gare Saint- Lazare then changed train to Versailles- Rive Droite. (EUR4.1) From there we got the direction from staff in the train station. They got a handy map for us and told us it was like 20 minutes walk away. It wasn't a heck to us even we got the wrong way and finally reached there in more than half an hour. The quite street with trees along the way and nice sunshine did't bother us too much.

Itinerary of today:

Musee des Arts et Metiers
Lunch @Caffé Soprano
Archives Nationales
Hotel de Ville
Notre Dame de Paris
Pont de L’Archeveche
Aux Grands Hommes la Patrie Reconnaissante
Afternoon tea @Soufflot Cafe
Dessert@ Amorino
Jardin du Luxembourg
Dinner @Léon de Bruxelles
Taking night train from Munich to Paris was a kinda good experience despite what happened to us. We saved the cost booking accommodation for a night and at the same time, saved the time on transport. We had quite a good sleep though the train went jiggly. (Maybe we were way too tired) At around 8am, there was an announcement waking us up for breakfast and wash up. But as I mentioned, sharing a washroom with a whole lot of people was a nightmare, so we had our breakfast first before we could get a chance to do wash up.

The World’s Longest Place Names
Just remembered how hard I could remember the name of the places while travelling, especially for those I couldn't even pronounce them. Then came across this interesting article:
